I have really enjoyed this month’s pudding challenge and it was a perfect choice being a Toffee Apple Pudding [link for recipe]. Here in Britain it’s Apple Bramley week 3-10 February 2008 and my choice of apple of course had to be the famous Bramley for this pudding.
Maria at The Goddess’s Kitchen kindly provided the recipe this month having been tried and tested by Maria and her family to immense reviews, so I know we were already on to a winner with this pudding from the start. Many thanks Maria once again for kindly sharing this recipe for “The Great British Pudding Challenge”.
The texture of this pudding is a very light sponge and the crowning glory of apples in a golden syrup and butter sauce for that toffee apple taste. I served mine with custard to great reviews from my family too. I will certainly be making this gorgeous pudding again!
There are already challenges in for this month and I urge you to please take a moment to visit my blogger friends who have taken part and view their entries too! Thank you :)
Jules from Domestic Goddess in Training who has made wonderful little puddings - thank you Jules for taking part!
Maria from The Goddess’s Kitchen who has made a large beautiful pudding - thank you Maria for taking part!
Pixie from Sweetart has posted her wonderful pudding - thank you Pixie for taking part!
Cakelaw from Laws of The Kitchen has posted a most delectable pudding – thank you for taking part in this months Challenge.

Made my pudding today Rosie. Cut the recipe in half into a 1pint bowl; didn't rise as much as I expected- unsure as to why. Just had a bite and it is lovely- shall blog about it later today or tomorrow. ta for running such a great event.

Hi Rosie.
This months recipe sounds and is looking wonderful. I hope to join back in once I've had my baby but I am struggling to do anything really till then. More details in my blog.
There are a couple of tradition puds I keep meaning to try, shall I suggest them here? If they are part of something like this I am more likely to get round to adapting them to gluten free and have a good excuse to cook them too.

Hi Esther, of course you can suggest different puddings - it nice to have feed back and try different puds from anyone who wishes to submit a recipe for the challenge.
It will be lovely to have you join back once you feel able and it's fully understandable with you being pregnant. I will pop along to your blog sweetie and have a read :)
Thanks for taking the time to call by!
